Excessive Sweating
Axillary Hyperhidrosis (excessive armpit sweating)
is an embarrassing condition that affects 1-2% of the population. It
can now be treated with an extremely effective muscle relaxant.
What does Muscle Relaxant Injection treatment
for Hyperhidrosis involve?
You should allow an hour for an appointment. Firstly,
a powder is applied to the Axilla (armpit). Then, a topical Anaesthetic
cream is applied for 25 minutes. A series of tiny superficial injections
are then placed into the Axilla, which take about 10-15 minutes
per side. One feels pressure, but no pain. After the treatment,
one can go straight back to normal activities such as driving or
working. There is no down time. The Muscle Relaxant starts
to work within 7-10 days.
Do I need skin test?
No. As muscle relaxant therapy is non-animal based,
you do NOT need a skin test prior to its application.

last?

on average but according to a recent study, about 28% of people
had a long-lasting benefit up to 16 months. Therefore depending
on the individual, one may require treatments 1-2 times per year.
