Fuller Lips
Introduction
For many women, a fuller, more sensual mouth
comes high on their wish list.
Young skin is smooth and elastic and contains a large amount
of naturally occurring Hyaluronic acid that helps the skin
look healthy.
As we get older, the ability of the skin to produce Hyaluronic
acid decreases and the amount in our skin begins to fall.
As a result, our skin and lips start to lose volume, and our
face starts to feel the effects of gravity.
Now there is a natural, non-animal and non-surgical solution
for smoothing facial folds and giving the lips a fuller, more
sensuous form.
Dermal filler, is a crystal-clear, biodegradable gel based
on the same Hyaluronic acid produced in the skin. The gel
is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine
needle resulting in natural looking and immediate results
that refresh our appearance and involve NO DOWN TIME.
How do I achieve fuller, more defined lips?
To achieve fuller, more defined lips, Hyaluronic
acid can be injected into the upper and lower lips and even
the lip border. Redefining this edge leads to a more youthful
and appealing look. To achieve the optimal result, a combination
of these steps is often used. This is known as the “PARIS
LIP”.
What does the Paris Lip involve?
The whole procedure takes less than 30 minutes
including a consultation prior to treatment. The results are
instantaneous. Firstly, a local anaesthetic block is applied
prior to the procedure to minimise any discomfort. Secondly,
the quantity and distribution of product within the lips is
tailored to each individua.
Depending on the look that is desired, at times more product
can be placed in the middle of the bottom lip and tapered
toward the edges of the lip. Other times, more product can
be placed in the middle of the top lip to accentuate the “Cupid’s
Bow”.
If your lips have flattened with age and lost their youthful
fullness or you would just like to enhance the lip shape you
already have, then Dr Liane Robinson can help you.
Do I need a skin test?
No. As Hyaluronic acid is non-animal based,
you do not need a skin test prior to its application.
Are the any side effects?
• Side-effects may include some swelling
and redness which usually disappear within a couple of days
• Most people resume their daily routine immediately
after treatment
What is the cost of Paris Lip?
Every person has different shaped lips and,
of course, the initial anatomy of the lips will dictate the
type of result which can be achieved. Some people also suit
more volume in their lips than others, and Dr Liane Robinson
can guide people in the amount of product required to give
the look they are seeking.
The price of the procedure depends on the amount of dermal
filler used:
• $350 for .5ml of short-acting (6-9
months) lip filler
• $550 for 1.0ml of short-acting (6-9 months) lip filler
• $750 for 1.0ml long-acting (9-12months) lip filler
